Winter Market is (almost) Over

February brought us some harsh winter weather with snow storms and near-record low temperatures. On the real estate market however we observed the first sings of Spring: the number of showings grows every weekend, the mortgage applications are on the rise, too. It seems that some buyers who stayed on the sidelines throughout 2007, now see the right opportunity with interest rates slashed several times since January 22nd. Many economists say that a series of deep interest rates cuts rapidly implemented one after another, happens once once per generation...

Thanks to lower interest rates and competitive pricing (due to large inventory of properties for sale), more and more buyers realize that now they can afford homes they could only dream about just 3 or 5 years ago...
